The Immigrant and Refugee Law Center provides free or low cost services to low income immigrant and refugee families through Community Learning Centers at Cincinnati Public Schools, including Roberts Academy and the Academy of World Languages, and at other community sites.  Services are provided by IRLC staff and its network of pro bono attorneys, students, and volunteers.

We assist families with immigration related legal matters including:

  • Citizenship

  • Legal Permanent Residence (green cards)

  • Asylum

  • Family-based petitions

  • Deportation/removal defense

  • Special Immigrant Juvenile Status

  • Family preparedness plans such as power of attorney, guardianship, and other family matters

  • Domestic violence

  • Victims of crime

  • General advice on navigating the complex immigration system


We also provide services in collaboration with community partners for other civil  matters such as:

  • Employment

  • Housing

  • Family issues


For other matters we will do our best to provide clients with referrals to other attorneys or services.
